By Sanjeev Kapoor 19 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Fresh green peas, Ready made samosa dough roundels Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients 1 cup fresh green peas 150 grams ready-made samosa dough, cut into strips 1 teaspoon ghee 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1-2 green chillies, chopped 1 inch ginger, finely chopped 1 small onion, finely chopped Salt to taste 1½ teaspoons garam masala powder Oil for deep frying Green chutney to serve Sweet tamarind chutney to serve Chopped coriander for garnish Method Heat ghee in a non-stick pan; add cumin seeds, sauté till the colour changes. Add green chillies, ginger and sauté well. Add onion, sauté well and cook till translucent. Add fresh green peas, 3-4 tablespoons water and mix well. Add salt, garam masala powder, and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes or till the green peas are cooked. Mash the cooked mixture with a masher and cook for a minute. Take it off the heat and set aside to cool. Seal the edges of a samosa strip using a little water and stuff it with a portion of the prepared mixture and seal the top with a little more water to shape it like a samosa. Make more and set aside. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick pan, deep fry the samosas till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
