Ingredients list for Oats Jaggery Modak
- 1 1/2 cups Oats powder
- 1 cup Jaggery powder
- 2-3 tablespoons Ghee
- 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoons Almonds , finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons Cashewnuts , finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Desiccated coconut
- 3-4 tablespoons Milk
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add oats powder, and sauté on low heat, stirring continuously, for 3-4 minutes.
- Add jaggery powder, green cardamom powder, nuts and desiccated coconut, mix well, and sauté on low heat, stirring continuously, for 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture into a bowl. Add milk gradually and mix till the mixture gets well combined together. Let it cool slightly.
- Transfer a generous portion of mixture into a modak and make a modak. Demould and place on a serving platter. Make more modaks with the remaining mixture and place on the same platter.
- Serve.
