Oats Jaggery Modak

Ingredients list for Oats Jaggery Modak

  • 1 1/2 cups Oats powder
  • 1 cup Jaggery powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons Almonds , finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Cashewnuts , finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Desiccated coconut
  • 3-4 tablespoons Milk

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add oats powder, and sauté on low heat, stirring continuously, for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add jaggery powder, green cardamom powder, nuts and desiccated coconut, mix well, and sauté on low heat, stirring continuously, for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a bowl. Add milk gradually and mix till the mixture gets well combined together. Let it cool slightly.
  4. Transfer a generous portion of mixture into a modak and make a modak. Demould and place on a serving platter. Make more modaks with the remaining mixture and place on the same platter.
  5. Serve.
