Pan Seared Fish with Soy Sauce Marinated boneless fish fillets pan seared and served over a ginger flavoured sauce. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 31 Mar 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Fish fillets, Soy sauce Cuisine Fusion Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Pan Seared Fish with Soy Sauce 250 grams Fish fillets boneless, cut into medium pieces 3 tablespoon Soy sauce 2 tablespoons Garlic chopped to taste Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns Oil 1 tablespoon + for pan-searing 1 inch Ginger thinly sliced 2 teaspoons Cornstarch 1-2 Spring onions with greens sliced diagonally Method Take fish pieces on a plate and add 1 tablespoon chopped garlic, salt, crushed black peppercorns, oil and rub well on both sides. Set aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes. To make sauce, heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan, add ginger and sauté till golden. Add remaining garlic and sauté well. Add some water and stir. Add soy sauce and mix well. Dissolve cornstarch in some water. Add to the pan, mix well and cook till the sauce thickens. Heat oil in another non-stick pan. Place the marinated fish, skin side down and pan-sear till the fish is fully cooked and evenly browned from both the sides. Place a ring mould on a serving plate and pour the sauce in it. Remove the mould, place seared fish on it. Top with some more sauce and serve immediately garnished with spring onions.
