Papdi Pizza

Papris spread with pizza sauce, topped with some of the usual pizza toppings and baked. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Papdi Pizza

  • as required Papdis
  • as required Pizza sauce
  • 1 small Potato boiled, peeled and cut into roundels
  • to sprinkle Chaat masala
  • to sprinkle Amchur powder
  • 1 medium Onion cut into roundels and layers separated
  • as required Mozzarella cheese grated
  • ½ medium Green capsicum finely chopped
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • as required Sev
  • for garnishing Fresh coriander sprigs

Method

  1. Preheat oven at 180º C. Line a baking tray with silicon mat.
  2. Place papris on the lined baking tray. Spread some pizza sauce on each papri. Put potato roundel and sprinkle some chaat masala and dried mango powder on top.
  3. Place onion rings on each papri and put some more pizza sauce, some mozzarella cheese and some capsicum in the center. Sprinkle some crushed peppercorns on top.
  4. Place the baking tray in preheated oven and bake till cheese melts.
  5. Place the baked papris on a serving platter and sprinkle some sev on top. Serve immediately garnished with coriander sprigs.
