By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 May 2021 in Recipes Veg New Update Penne Arrabiata Main Ingredients Penne pasta, Olive oil Cuisine Italian Course Noodles and Pastas Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients 2 cups penne pasta , boiled 1 tablespoon olive oil 2 tablespoons chopped garlic 1 medium onion , finely chopped 1 1/2 cups tomato concasse Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns to taste 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes A pinch of castor sugar 3-4 basil leaves 4-5 black olives , pitted and sliced 10 grams parmesan cheese Fresh basil sprig to garnish Garlic bread slices to serve Method Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic and onion, mix and sauté till onion turns a light brown and raw smells disappear. Add tomato concasse, mix and sautefor 1 minute. Add salt, mix and saute for 1-2 minutes. Add pasta, crushed peppercorns and chilli flakes, mix and cook for 1 minute. Add castor sugar and adjust salt, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Tear basil leaves and add and mix well. Transfer thepasta into a serving bowl. Put black olive slices and garnish with parmesan shavings and basil sprig.
