By Sanjeev Kapoor 19 Jul 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Prawns (medium), Refined flour (maida) Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 1-1.30 hour Cook time 41-50 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Prawn Puffs 1 cup Prawns (medium) chopped Refined flour (maida) 1 cup + 1 tablespoon + for dusting 2 tablespoons Clarified butter A pinch + to taste Salt 1 tablespo for deep-frying Oil 1 tablespoon Garlic minced to taste Red chilli flakes to taste Black pepper powder 1 tablespoon Butter 3 tablespoons Milk 2 tablespoons Processed cheese grated Method Combine 1 cup flour, ghee and a pinch salt in a bowl. Add water as required, mix and knead into a stiff dough. Set aside for 1 hour. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté till pink. Add prawns, mix and sauté for a minute. Add chilli flakes, pepper powder and salt and mix well. Add butter and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon flour and mix well. Add milk, mix well and cook on low heat for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. Add cheese to the prawn mixture and mix well. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out the portions into thin large discs dusting with flour. Prick the discs with a fork and cut out smaller diskettes using a cookie cutter. Put a portion of the prepared filling on one side of the diskettes, bring the other side over and press the edges to stick and form crescent shaped puffs. Heat sufficient oil in a pan. Deep-fry the puffs till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
