Ingredients list for Pudina Paneer Pulao-SK Khazana

  • 1 cup Fresh mint leaves
  • 250 grams Cottage cheese (paneer) cubed
  • 1 1/2 cups Basmati rice soaked and drained
  • 2-3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 10-12 Black peppercorns
  • 3-4 Cloves
  • 2-3 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 2 Medium onions sliced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add cinnamon, peppercorns, cloves and green chillies, mix and sauté till fragrant.
  2. Add onions and sauté till lightly browned. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Add mint leaves, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add ½ cup yogurt and mix well.
  4. Add cottage cheese, rice, salt and 3 cups water, mix well, cover and cook till the rice is fully done.
  5. Garnish with mint leaves and serve hot.
