Ingredients for Quick Gajar Halwa Recipe

  • Orange carrots , peeled and boiled 7-8

  • Ghee 4 tablespoons

  • Sugar 1/2 cup

  • Condensed milk 1/4 cup

  • Green cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Fresh mawa / khoya , grated 1/2 cup + tablespoons

  • Almonds , slivered 10-12

  • Pistachios , slivered 10-12

Method

Step 1

Grate the carrots coarsely.

Step 2

Melt pure ghee in a deep pan, add carrots and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add sugar and mix and cook stirring continuously till the sugar melts.

Step 3

Add condensed milk and green cardamom powder and mix well.

Step 4

Add ½ cup mawa and mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 5

Switch the heat off and add the remaining mawa and mix well.

Step 6

Transfer onto a serving platter, garnish with almonds and pistachios and serve.
