Shallow-Fried Fish With Oatmeal Unusual combination of oatmeal with fish This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 11 Jun 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Fish fillet, Oatmeal Cuisine Fusion Course Main Course-Seafood Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Medium Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Shallow-Fried Fish With Oatmeal 2 Fish fillet boneless 1 cup Oatmeal 2 tablespoons Lemon juice 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste 2 tablespoons Oil 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds 12-15 Curry leaves a pinch Citric acid 1 teaspoon Sugar Method Cut fish fillets at a slant into big chunks. Keep them on a plate and sprinkle lemon juice, half the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste and mix well. Add curry leaves and oatmeal and cook on low heat till crisp. Add a little salt and citric acid, sugar, remaining turmeric powder and mix well. Transfer onto a plate and set aside. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick grill pan.Let them marinate for 15 minutes. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Place fish pieces on it and cook, turning sides a few times for even cooking, till both sides are golden. Place fish pieces on oatmeal mixture and cover them well with it.
