By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Rice, Cabbage Cuisine Fusion Course Rice Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Sichuan Kimchi Rice 2 cups Rice boiled 1 small Cabbage 1 inch pieces 4 tablespoons Sesame oil (til oil) to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Soy sauce 4 teaspoons Brown sugar 3 teaspoons Crushed red chillies 2 tablespoons Vinegar 1/2 tablespoon Sesame seeds (black) roasted 6-8 cloves Garlic crushed 1 inch piece Ginger chopped 1/2 teaspoon Sichuan peppers crushed Method To make kimchi, heat two tablespoons sesame oil in a pan, add cabbage, salt, soy sauce, brown sugar and crushed red chillies and toss. Add vinegar and toss and cook till the cabbage softens slightly. Roast sesame seeds and add to the cabbage and mix. Heat the remaining sesame oil in another pan. Add garlic and ginger and sauté on high heat for a minute. Add rice, kimchi and crushed Sichuan peppers and mix well. Add salt and toss. Serve hot.
