This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 14 Jun 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Soya Nuggets, Split Bengal Gram Cuisine Hyderabadi Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Soya Shammi Kebab 2 cups Soya Nuggets soaked in hot water 6 tablespoons Split Bengal Gram 5 cloves Garlic 1 inch piece Ginger 2 tablespoons Split Bengal gram (chana dal) soaked to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder 1/2 tablespoon Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon Pomegranate (anar) Method Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non stick pan. Roughly chop garlic and ginger and add to the pan and saute till fragrant. Drain and add chana dal along with soya nuggets, salt, garam masala powder, red chilli powder and mix well. Add pomegranate seeds and a little water and cook till the dal is cooked and mixture is dry. Cool and grind till smooth. Transfer into a bowl. Heat 4 tbsps oil in a non stick pan.Divide the mixture into equal portions, roll into balls and then flatten slightly. Place them in the pan and shallow-fry, turning sides, till golden on both sides. Serve hot.
