By Sanjeev Kapoor 20 Jul 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Shrimps, Wonton sheets Cuisine Chinese Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Steamed Shrimp Wontons 1 cup Shrimps chopped 12 Wonton sheets 1 teaspoon Ginger chopped 2 teaspoons Spring onion greens chopped 1/4 cup Water chestnuts chopped to taste Salt a pinch Castor sugar (caster sugar) 2 teaspoons Light soy sauce 1 teaspoon Sesame oil (til oil) 3-4 tablespoons Cornstarch to serve Sweet chilli sauce Method Combine shrimps, ginger, spring onion greens, water chestnuts, salt, castor sugar, soy sauce and sesame oil in a bowl and mix well. Dissolve cornstarch in sufficient water to make a thick slurry. Place the wonton sheets on a worktop. Put spoonful of prepared shrimp mixture onto each, apply slurry on the edges, bring over one side and press to make a triangle. Fold further using slurry and give your choice of shape to the wontons. Steam the wontons in a Chinese bamboo steamer for 5-7 minutes.
