By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Apr 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Whole wheat flour (atta), Jaggery (gur) Cuisine Punjabi Course Breads Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Sweet Roti 1 1/2 cups Whole wheat flour (atta) 8 tablespoons Jaggery (gur) grated 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds (til) 2-3 tablespoons Ghee to taste Salt Method Heat a non-stick pan, add grated jaggery and two tablespoons water and cook on low heat till the jaggery melts. Remove from heat and cool. Mix flour, melted jaggery, sesame seeds, ghee, salt and sufficient water in a bowl and knead to make a stiff dough. Divide the dough into four equal portions and roll out each portion into five inch diameter rotis. Heat a non-stick tawa and cook the rotis, one by one, on medium heat, turning sides, till equally golden on both sides. Apply some ghee on the rotis and serve.
