Tandoori Dhokla Steamed gram flour squares seasoned with tandoori masala and tossed with mustard seeds and curry leaves, offering a spicy twist on the classic dhokla. By Sanjeev Kapoor 14 Aug 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Dhokla, Gram flour (besan) Cuisine Gujarati, Indian, Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients Dhokla 2 cups gram flour (besan) ½ teaspoon turmeric powder Salt to taste ½ teaspoon ginger-green chilli paste 1 cup yogurt 1 tablespoon oil 1 teaspoon fruit salt Fresh coriander leaves chopped, for garnish Tempering 1 tablespoon oil 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 7-8 curry leaves 2 Tandoori masala powder Method Take gram flour in a bowl, add turmeric powder, salt, ginger-green chilli paste, yogurt and sufficient water and mix well to make a smooth and semi-thick batter. Add oil and fruit salt and mix well. Heat sufficient water in a steamer and grease a thali with oil. Pour the batter into the thali and place it in the steamer. Cover and steam for 10-12 minutes. Take the thali out of the steamer and set aside to cool slightly. Cut into even-sized cubes. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add 7-8 curry leaves, tandoori masala powder and dhokla cubes. Toss well and cook for 30 seconds.
