Ingredients list for Vegetable Chowmein

  • 1 1/2 cups Noodles boiled
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped
  • 1-2 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 4-5 Spring onion bulbs sliced
  • 1 Small carrot peeled and cut into thin strips
  • 1 cup Cabbage shredded
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Spring onion greens chopped
  • to garnish Spring onion curls

Method

  1. Heat 2 tbsps oil in non-stick pan, add garlic and ginger and sauté till raw smells disappear. Add green chillies and spring onions, mix and sauté till translucent.
  2. Add carrot and cabbage, mix and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Add noodles, salt, soy sauce, red chilli sauce and 1 tbsp spring onion greens, mix well and saute for 1 minute. Add the remaining spring onion greens.
  4. Transfer the chowmein into a serving bowl, garnish with spring onion curls and serve hot.
