Grown easily in arid regions too, it helps in weight management and blood sugar regulation. Here is a recipe of halwa that is very tasty and can be made with ease. By Sanjeev Kapoor 14 Aug 2024 in Recipes Mithais New Update Bajre Ka Halwa Main ingredients Pearl millet (bajra) flour, Ghee, Sugar, Almonds, Pistachios, Green cardamom powder Cuisine Indian Course Mithai Prep time 5-10 minutes Cook time 20-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 1½ cups pearl millet (bajra) flour ½ cup ghee 1 cup sugar 1 tablespoon slivered almonds + for garnish 1 tablespoon slivered pistachios + for garnish ½ tsp green cardamom powder Method Heat ¼ cup ghee in a steel pan, add pearl millet flour, and sauté for 8-10 minutes or till fragrant. Add 4 cups water and mix till well combined. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add sugar, slivered almonds and slivered pistachios and green cardamom powder and mix well. Add remaining ghee and mix well. Cook on medium heat for 2 minutes. Transfer in a serving bowl.
