By Sanjeev Kapoor 10 Oct 2024 in Recipes Main Course Vegetarian New Update Main ingredients Tofu, Green chilli, Fresh red chilli, Garlic, Ginger, Dark soy sauce, Red chilli sauce, Vegetable stock, Spring onion greens, Cornflour, Toasted white sesame seeds Cuisine Oriental Course Main course vegetarian Prep time 10-15 minutes Cook time 5-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 400 grams firm tofu, cut into 1 inch cubes 1 green chilli 1 fresh red chilli 1½ tablespoons finely chopped garlic ½ tablespoon finely chopped ginger 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce 1 tablespoon red chilli sauce Salt to taste 1 cup vegetable stock 3 tablespoons chopped spring onion greens + for garnish 1 tablespoon cornflour 1½ tablespoons oil 1½ teaspoons toasted white sesame seeds + for garnish Sticky rice to serve Method Chop green chilli and red chilli and put them into a bowl. Add garlic, ginger, dark soy sauce, red chilli sauce and salt and mix well. Add tofu cubes and mix till the tofu cubes are well coated with the mixture. Add vegetable stock and mix well. Add spring onion greens and corn flour and mix well. Heat oil in a pan, add the tofu mixture, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes or till the mixture thickens. Add white sesame seeds and mix well. Take the pan off the heat and transfer into a serving bowl. Garnish with spring onion greens and white sesame seeds.
