By Sanjeev Kapoor 26 Jun 2024 in Recipes Mithais New Update Kaju Khoya Besan Laddoo Main ingredients Cashewnuts, Khoya/mawa, Coarse gram flour, Ghee, Poppy seeds (khuskhus), Green cardamom powder, Powdered sugar Cuisine Indian Course Mithai Prep time 30-35 minutes Cook time 15-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients ½ cup cashewnuts (kaju), coarsely powdered 2 cups grated khoya/mawa 1 cup coarse gram flour (jada besan) ⅓ cup ghee 2-3 teaspoons poppy seeds (khuskhus) ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder 1 cup powdered sugar Method Heat ghee in a wide non-stick pan, add coarse gram flour, mix well and saute, stirring continuously, on low heat till it turns golden brown and fragrant. Switch the heat off, add grated khoya and mix till well combined, mix and sauté on low heat for 1-2 minutes. Transfer this mixture into a large parat and allow to cool down to room temperature. Add powdered sugar and mix well with your hand. Take small portions of the mixture and tightly roll it into a ball. This is a laddoo. Arrange the laddoos on a serving plate and serve.
