Mushroom Herbed Rice This rice is super flavourful with the different mushrooms lending their individual flavour. Fresh thyme further enhances the flavour. Super easy and quick to make, it tastes absolutely amazing! You can either have it on its own or pair it with a gravy, or sauces of your choice! By Sanjeev Kapoor 17 Nov 2024 in Recipes Rice New Update Main ingredients Fresh shiitake mushrooms, Button mushrooms, Fresh oyster mushrooms, Enoki mushrooms, Fresh thyme sprigs, Cooked rice, Butter, Garlic, Crushed black peppercorns, Fresh parsley Cuisine Fusion Course Rice Prep time 5-10 minutes Cook time 10-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Savoury Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 3-4 fresh shitake mushrooms, sliced 5-6 button mushrooms, sliced 6-8 fresh oyster mushrooms, sliced 15-20 enoki mushrooms, cut into 1 inch pieces 1-2 fresh thyme sprigs 3 cups cooked rice 1 tablespoon oil 1 tablespoon butter 8-10 garlic cloves, crushed Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns to taste 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley + a sprig for garnishing Method Heat oil and butter in a non-stick pan, add garlic and sauté till golden brown. Add thyme, mix and saute for 1 minute. Add shitake mushrooms, button mushrooms, oyster mushrooms and enoki mushrooms, mix and sauté on high heat till the mushrooms turn golden brown. Add rice, salt, crushed black peppercorns and parsley and mix gently till well combined. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Transfer the rice into a serving bowl.
