Ingredients for Aloo Bukhare (Plum) Ki Chutney Recipe

  • Plums deseeded and pureed 8-10 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Jaggery (gur) grated 1/4 cup

  • Rock salt (sendha namak) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder (deghi mirch) 1 teaspoon

  • Cumin powder roasted 1 teaspoon

  • Dates deseeded & chopped 6-8


Step 1

Heat a thick-bottomed pan and pour plum puree in it. When it comes to a boil add salt, jaggery, rock salt, red chilli powder and stir well. Simmer on medium heat for ten minutes or till it thickens and add cumin powder.

Step 2

Stir and let it simmer further for two to three minutes. Mix in dates and cook for two more minutes stirring continuously. Remove from heat, cool thoroughly and store in a sterilized, airtight glass jar.
