By Sanjeev Kapoor 02 Aug 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Baby potatoes, Oil Cuisine Bengali Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Aloor Dum 12-16 Baby potatoes boiled and peeled 2 tablespoons Oil 2 Bay leaves ¾ cup Onion paste 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste 1 cup Fresh tomato puree to taste Salt ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Cumin powder a pinch Castor sugar (caster sugar) 2 tablespoons Green peas Method Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add torn bay leaves and sauté. Add onion paste and sauté till golden. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté on medium heat for 30 seconds. Add tomato puree and mix. Add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder and castor sugar, mix and cook for 7-8 minutes or till oil separates. Add some water and mix. Add potatoes and mix well. Reduce heat and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add green peas and mix.
