Ingredients for Chawli chi Bhaji Recipe

  • Runner beans (chavli) cut into 1 inch pieces 250 grams

  • Scraped coconut 2 tablespoons

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Mustard seeds ½ teaspoon

  • Green chillies 2-3

  • Asafoetida 1 teaspoon

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • Black pepper powder ½ teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.

Step 2

Slit green chillies and add, mix and sauté. Add beans and mix well.

Step 3

Add 2 tablespoons water, mix well, cover and cook till the beans are almost done.

Step 4

Put coconut, onion, little water and pepper powder in a grinder jar and grind into a coarse paste.

Step 5

Add salt and ground paste to the pan, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Serve hot.
