Ingredients list for Chicken Burger With Whole Meal Bun
- 1 1/2 cups Chicken mince
- 1/2 cup Soya Nuggets
- 2 Green chillies chopped
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 1 medium Carrots grated
- to taste Salt
- for shallow frying Oil
- 4 Whole meal buns
- 2 medium Onions
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Brown sauce
- a few Iceberg lettuce
- 2 tablespoons Tomato ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Mustard paste
- 2 medium Tomatoes sliced
Method
- Soak soya nuggets in two cups of water for ten minutes. Drain. Mix together chicken mince, green chillies, coriander leaves, onion, carrot and salt and blend in a mixer.
- Add soaked soya nuggets and blend again. Transfer the mixture into a bowl. Slightly dampen your hands and shape the mixture into four equal sized patties.
- Heat a griddle, put a little oil and cook the patties on medium heat. Turn and cook on the other side.
- Cook till golden on both sides. To serve, cut roundels of onions and separate into rings. Heat a little oil in a griddle and grill the onion rings.
- Add Soy or Worcestershire sauce and mix. Add brown sauce and mix and cook covered for two minutes.
- Slit the buns horizontally. Heat a little olive oil on the griddle and roast the bun on both sides. Tear lettuce leaves.
