Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Chole Recipe

  • Chicken mince 250 grams

  • Chickpeas (kabuli chane) soaked overnight and boiled 1 cup

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Onions finely chopped 2

  • Fresh coriander leaves 1/2 cup

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Roasted cumin powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons

  • Tomato puree 3/4 cup

  • Chole stock 2 cups

  • Rock salt to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Garam masala powder 2 teaspoons

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add onions and saute till they turn soft.

Step 2

Roughly chop coriander leaves.

Step 3

Add ginger-garlic paste to the cooker, mix and saute for a minute. Add chicken mince, mix well and saute for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4

Add turmeric powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder, mix well and saute well.

Step 5

Add tomato puree and mix well. Add chickpeas, 1½ cups chole stock and stir to mix.

Step 6

Add coriander leaves, rock salt, salt, remaining stock and garam masala powder and mix well. Cover and pressure cook till one whistle. Reduce heat and cook for 10-15 minutes.

Step 7

Serve hot.
