Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Garlic Puff-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Chicken boiled and chopped 3/4 cup

  • Garlic chopped 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Puff pastry dough 200 grams

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • Medium onion finely chopped 1

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 tablespo for dusting

  • Milk 1 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Spring onion greens chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Egg beaten 1


Step 1

Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and onions, mix and sauté till fragrant.

Step 2

Add flour and sauté for a minute. Add milk, stir and cook till the mixture thickens.

Step 3

Add chicken, salt, crushed peppercorns and spring onion greens, mix well and cook till the mixture is dry. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 4

Preheat oven to 180º C.

Step 5

Place the dough on the worktop, dust with some flour and roll out into a large sheet. Trim the edges and cut into 4 squares.

Step 6

Place a spoonful of the cooked chicken mixture in the centre of each square and brush the edges with beaten eggs. Bring one end of each square over the other and seal with a fork to make rectangular puffs.

Step 7

Place the puffs on a baking tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Step 8

Serve hot.
