Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Pad Thai Recipe

  • Boneless chicken cut into thin strips 100 grams

  • Oil 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Garlic chopped 5-6 cloves

  • Spring onion bulbs chopped 4-5

  • Button mushrooms thickly sliced 6-8

  • Broccoli florets blanched 4-5

  • Medium green capsicum cut into thin strips 1

  • Medium red capsicum cut into thin strips 1

  • Salt to taste

  • Flat noodles boiled 200 grams

  • Brown sugar 2 tablespoons

  • Soy sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh red chillies diagonally sliced 2

  • Spring onion greens stalks chopped 5-6 to garnish

  • Roasted peanuts coarsely ground 2 tablespoons

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Bean sprouts to garnish

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and spring onions, and saute till the garlic is golden brown.

Step 2

Add chicken and mushrooms, mix and saute for 1 minute. Add broccoli, green capsicum, red capsicum and salt, mix well and cook till chicken is almost done.

Step 3

Add noodles, brown sugar and soy sauce and mix. Add red chillies, spring onion greens, peanuts and lemon juice and mix well.

Step 4

Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with bean sprouts and spring onion greens and serve hot.
