Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Cook time : 11-15 minutes

Ingredients for Chicken Stew Recipe

  • Chicken cut into 1½ inch cubes 750 grams

  • Chicken stock 3 cups

  • Garlic cloves 8-10

  • Potatoes 2 medium

  • Olive oil 1 tablespoon

  • French beans 6-8

  • Whole wheat flour (atta) 2 tablespoons

  • Carrots 3 medium

  • Onion 1 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Milk 1/2 cup

Method

Step 1

Slice onion and garlic. Cube potatoes.

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a non stick pan, add onion and garlic and sauté for a couple of minutes. Meanwhile cube the carrots. Add potatoes and carrots to the pan and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Add chicken and continue to sauté. Cut French beans into small pieces.

Step 4

Add whole wheat flour to the chicken and mix well. Sauté for 1 minute. Add chicken stock, salt, pepper powder and mix well. Cover and cook till the chicken is almost done.

Step 5

Add French beans and milk and cook for 5-7 minutes. Serve hot with garlic bread.
