Ingredients for Dal Poha Recipe

  • Split green gram skinless (dhuli moong dal) soaked and boiled 1 cup

  • Pressed rice (poha) soaked 1 cup

  • Oil 1/2 tablespoon

  • Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Green chilli finely chopped 1

  • Curry leaves 5-7

  • Onions chopped 2 medium

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Sugar a pinch

  • Fresh coriander chopped 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Step 2

Add green chilli and curry leaves and saute for half a minute.

Step 3

Add onions, turmeric powder and sauté for half a minute.

Step 4

Add green gram and mix well and saute for two minutes.

Step 5

Add poha and mix well and cook till heated through.

Step 6

Add salt and sugar and mix well.

Step 7

Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
