Ingredients list for Dal Poha

  • 1 cup Split green gram skinless (dhuli moong dal) soaked and boiled
  • 1 cup Pressed rice (poha) soaked
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 Green chilli finely chopped
  • 5-7 Curry leaves
  • 2 medium Onions chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • a pinch Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander chopped

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add green chilli and curry leaves and saute for half a minute.
  3. Add onions, turmeric powder and sauté for half a minute.
  4. Add green gram and mix well and saute for two minutes.
  5. Add poha and mix well and cook till heated through.
  6. Add salt and sugar and mix well.
  7. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
