Ingredients list for Fried Calamari

  • 4-5 Squids cleaned and cut into ½ cm rings
  • ¾ cup Refined flour (maida)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • for deep-frying Oil
  • For dip -
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic chopped
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • For garnishing -
  • a few Parsley
  • a few Lemon wedges

Method

  1. In a zip lock bag add flour, salt, pepper and squids. Close the bag and shake it.
  2. Strain the ingredients of the bag in a bowl through a strainer.
  3. Deep fry the squids till golden brown in colour. Set aside.
  4. In a bowl take mayonnaise, lemon juice and garlic mix well.
  5. Serve the mayo dip with fried hot calamari. Garnished with sprig of parsley and lemon wedges.
