Ingredients list for Gond ki Raab
- 4 tablespoons Edible gum crystals (gond) broken into small pieces
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- ½ cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- ¼ cup Desiccated coconut
- 2 tablespoons Almonds
- 2 tablespoons Cashewnuts
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add edible gum crystals and let them pop.
- Add 2-3 cups water and stir continuously till the mixture thickens.
- Add sugar and mix well till the sugar melts. Add desiccated coconut, keeping aside a little for garnish, and mix well. Simmer for a minute. Add almonds and half the cashewnuts and mix well.
- Transfer gond ki raab into a serving bowl, garnish with remaining cashewnuts and some desiccated coconut and serve hot.
