Ingredients for Green Jewels In A Bowl Recipe

  • Broccoli separated into small florets 1/4 medium

  • Green capsicum cut into thin strips 1 medium

  • Cucumber halved and sliced diagonally 1 large

  • French beans sliced diagonally and blanched 8-10

  • Bean sprouts 3/4 cup

  • Lettuce leaves torn and chilled 6

  • Spring onion greens,sliced 1 stalk

  • Roasted sesame seeds 1 tablespoon

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Olive oil 1 tablespoon

  • Soy sauce 1 tablespoon

  • Powdered sugar 3 teaspoons

  • Black peppercorns crushed 7-8

  • Salt ` to taste


Step 1

Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water. Refresh in cold water. Mix together the ingredients for the dressing and set aside.

Step 2

Place the broccoli, capsicum, cucumber, French beans, bean sprouts and lettuce in a large bowl. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well to mix.

Step 3

Serve, sprinkled with the spring onion greens and roasted sesame seeds.
