Ingredients list for Gur Papdi - SK Khazana

  • 1/2 cup Jaggery (gur) chopped
  • 1/2 cup Ghee
  • 1 1/2 cups Whole wheat flour
  • 1 pinches Nutmeg powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 8-10 Almonds slivered
  • 8-10 Pistachios slivered

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add whole wheat flour and sauté, stirring continuously, for 8-10 minutes or till it is golden brown in colour.
  2. Take the pan off the heat, add nutmeg powder, green cardamom powder and jaggery and mix well.
  3. Grease an aluminium burfi tray, put the mixture into it and spread evenly. Sprinkle slivered almonds and pistachios all over the surface and set aside to cool.
  4. Cut into squares, arrange on serving platter and serve.
