Ingredients list for Honey Toasted Cheese With Sesame Seeds

  • 600 grams Cottage Cheese
  • 2 Sesame Seeds
  • 3 medium Tomatoes
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 teaspoons Sesame seeds (til)
  • a few Spring onion greens
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato puree
  • 1 tablespoon Cashewnut paste
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon MSG
  • 1 tablespoon Honey

Method

  1. Cut paneer in cubes in three by two centimeter size. Wash, remove stem and finely chop green chillies.
  2. Wash and cut tomatoes into three centimeter cubes. Peel, wash and cut onions into three centimeter cubes.
  3. Lightly roast sesame seeds on a griddle. Wash and chop spring onion greens for garnish.
  4. Heat butter in a pan with some oil to avoid burning of butter. Fry paneer cubes on both sides in the pan till golden brown.
  5. Remove paneer on a kitchen towel or absorbent paper. In the remaining oil add onion cubes, garlic paste and sauté for a while.
  6. Add tomato cubes and tomato puree. Stir and cook for a while. Add cashewnut paste and tomato ketchup.
  7. Add chopped green chillies saving one teaspoon for the garnish and soy sauce.
  8. Season with salt and ajinomoto. Now add paneer to this mixture and mix well.
  9. Mix honey with water and add it to the dish. Finish off with roasted sesame seeds. Garnish with chopped spring onion greens and the remaining chopped green chillies.
