Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Hot And Sweet Chicken Wings Recipe

  • Chicken Wings 8

  • Light Soy Sauce a pinch

  • Ginger paste 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic paste 2 tablespoons

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 1/4 cup

  • Paprika powder 2 teaspoons

  • Oil for frying

  • Sesame oil (til oil) to taste

  • For Hot and sweet sauce

  • Light soy sauce 2 tablespoons

  • Malt vinegar 1 tablespoon

  • Sugar 1 tablespoon

  • Ginger juice 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic chopped 5 cloves

  • Fresh red chillies slit 2

  • Green chillies slit 2

Method

Step 1

Take salt, ginger paste, garlic paste and paprika powder in a bow.

Step 2

Add chicken wings and mix well to coat the chicken with the mixture and let it marinate for fifteen minutes.

Step 3

Remove the chicken and coat with cornflour.

Step 4

Heat sufficient oil in a frying pan and deep fry the chicken wings until golden in colour.

Step 5

Drain on an absorbent paper.

Step 6

To make hot and sweet sauce, combine soy sauce, malt vinegar, sugar and ginger juice in a pan. Add water as required and bring the mixture to boil.

Step 7

Add garlic and red and green chillies and stir well.

Step 8

Continue boiling until the sauce is reduced to half.

Step 9

Add chicken wings and stir till they are well coated with the sauce.

Step 10

Transfer the chicken wings to a serving plate, sprinkle sesame oil and serve with steamed rice.
