Ingredients for Jain Pitla Recipe

  • Gram flour (besan) 3 tablespoons

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Green chillies chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Curry leaves 5-6

  • Cabbage chopped 1/2 cup

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add green chillies, curry leaves and cabbage and mix well.

Step 2

Add some water alongwith add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and gram flour, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 3

Add lemon juice and chopped coriander and mix well.

Step 4

Serve hot garnished with a coriander sprig.
