Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Malwani Chicken Rawa Fry Recipe

  • Boneless chicken cubed 1/2 cup

  • Semolina (rawa/suji) 1/2 cup

  • Cinnamon 1/2 inch

  • Black peppercorns 3-4

  • Cloves 2-3

  • Green chilli 1

  • Ginger 1/2 inch

  • Garlic cloves 4-5

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Malwani masala 1 teaspoon

  • Yogurt 1/2 cup

  • Oil for shallow frying

  • Rice flour 1/2 cup

Method

Step 1

Grind together cinnamon, peppercorns, cloves, green chilli, ginger, garlic and chopped coriander alongwith some water to a fine paste.

Step 2

Take chicken in a bowl. Add salt, lemon juice, turmeric powder, Malwanimasala and yogurt and mix well. Add prepared paste, mix and set aside for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

Heat oil in a non-stick pan.

Step 4

Take rice flour and semolina in a plate and mix well.Coat chicken pieces with rice flour-semolina mixture.

Step 5

Shallow-fry the prepared chicken from both sides in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 6

Serve hot garnished with a mint sprig and lemon slice.
