Ingredients list for Mango Pachidi

  • 1 Raw mango cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup Jaggery (gur) grated
  • 2 Green chillies slit
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Rice flour
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds

Method

  1. Cut mango, without peeling, into small pieces.
  2. Heat 2 cups water in a non stick pan and add mango pieces, turmeric powder, green chillies and mix well. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add jaggery and mix well. Cover again and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add salt.Mix rice flour with ¼ cup water and add to the pan.
  5. Heat oil in a small non stick pan and add mustard seeds.
  6. When the seeds splutter add the tempering to the mango pachidi.
  7. Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes. Cool and serve at room temperature.
