Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Mango manzeera Recipe

  • Raw Mango cut into cubes 10

  • Sugar 3 tablespoons

  • Onion seeds (kalonji) 2 tablespoons

  • Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) 2 tablespoon

  • Black peppercorns 8-10

  • Fennel seeds (saunf) 2 tablespoons

  • Cloves 8-10

  • Sugar 1 cup

Method

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion seeds, methi seeds, black peppercorns, fennel seeds and cloves and saute for a minute.

Step 2

Add mangoes and saute for five minutes or till the moisture get evaporated.

Step 3

Add sugar and cook for two minutes. Remove the pan from heat and store in airtight containers. Serve with paranthas.
