Ingredients list for Methi Paneer Bhurjee

  • 100 grams Paneer
  • 1 bunch Fenugreek Leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 3-4 Dried red chillies broken
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped
  • 2-3 Green chillies broken
  • 2 Onions finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Kasoori methi powder
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 Papad roasted and crushed

Method

  1. Heat oil in a handi. Add asafoetida, dried red chillies and sauté. Add cumin seeds, ginger, garlic and mix.
  2. Add green chillies, onions and sauté till lightly coloured. Add methi leaves and sauté on low heat. Crumble paneer.
  3. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt to the pan. Add paneer and mix well. Add kasoori methi, milk and mix well.
  4. Transfer methi paneer bhurjee into a serving bowl. Roast a papad and crush it on methi paneer bhurjee and serve hot.
