Ingredients list for Mooli aur Patte ki Sabzi

  • 4-5 Radishes (mooli) with leaves chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • a pinch Asafoetida
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • 2 Spring onions with greens chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 2 tablespoons Gram flour (besan)

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and saute till the seeds splutter. Add asafoetida, green chillies, spring onion with greens and radish leaves, mix well and saute on high heat for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add radishes, mix well and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder and mix well.
  3. Add ½ cup water and mix well. Once the mixture comes to a boil, add gram flour and mix. Cover and cook on low heat for 5 minutes or till the radishes are cooked completely.
  4. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
