Ingredients list for Mor Koolu

  • 1 1/2 cups Rice soaked
  • to taste Yogurt
  • 3 cups Yogurt whisked
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 Dried red chilli broken
  • 8-10 Curry leaves

Method

  1. Cook rice in three cups of water until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed.
  2. Allow the rice to cool a little bit.
  3. Add salt, yogurt, green chillies, onion and coriander leaves and mix well.
  4. Heat oil in a non stick pan and add mustard seeds.
  5. When they splutter, add red chilli and curry leaves. Sauté for few seconds and add this to the rice.
  6. Mix well and serve.
