Ingredients list for Paneer Kathi Roll - SK Khazana

  • 400 grams Cottage cheese (paneer) cut into strips
  • 4 Whole wheat rotis
  • 20-24 Onion rings
  • 1 Green chilli chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 Medium onion sliced
  • 1 Medium tomato seeded and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 2 tablespoons Thick yogurt
  • as required Mayonnaise
  • as required Green chutney
  • to sprinkle Chaat masala

Method

  1. Take onion rings in a bowl, add green chillies and vinegar and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add sliced onions and sauté till golden brown. Add tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes are soft.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and cottage cheese strips and sauté. Add garam masala powder and yogurt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Place each roti on work top, spread some mayonnaise and green chutney over it.
  5. Keep a portion of the cottage cheese mixture in the centre and top up with some onion-chilli mixture. Sprinkle chaat masala and roll tightly.
  6. Cut each roll into 2 equal pieces, wrap in colourful tissue napkin and arrange on serving platter. Serve immediately.
