Ingredients list for Peanut Chaat
- 2 cups Raw peanuts shelled
- 1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Sea salt
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 medium Onion
- 3 Green chillies
- 1 medium Tomato
- 1 teaspoon Roasted cumin seeds
- a few sprigs Fresh coriander leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 Lemon
Method
- If using peanuts with shell boil them in plenty of water with salt and turmeric powder for 8-10 minutes.
- Drain and shell. If using shelled raw peanuts boil them in plenty of water with sea salt and turmeric powder.
- Chop onion and green chillies in a chopper. Chop tomato finely.
- Pound roasted cumin seeds. Mix onion, green chillies, tomato in a bowl. Chop coriander leaves.
- Drain peanuts well and add to the bowl. Add salt, chaat masala, red chilli powder and juice of lemon.
- Add pounded cumin seeds and coriander leaves and mix well. Serve hot.
- You can also serve this topped with chilled yogurt.
