Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Rabdi - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Full fat milk 800 millilitres

  • Sugar 2 tablespoons

  • Green cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Silver warq for garnishing

  • Pistachios slivered for garnishing

  • Almonds slivered for garnishing

Method

Step 1

Boil milk in a deep non-stick pan on medium high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally, till reduced to ¼ the original volume. Scrape the sides of the pan and add it to the milk. This may take upto 40 minutes.

Step 2

Add sugar and cardamom powder and mix well. Cook, stirring till the sugar dissolves.

Step 3

Remove from heat and cool.

Step 4

Put rabdi in a serving bowls and serve garnished with some silver warq, pistachio slivers and almond slivers.
