Ingredients list for Raw Banana Purichit
- 3-4 Raw Banana
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Rice Flour
- 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 cup Rice flour
- 12-16 Curry leaves chopped
- 4 tablespoons Oil
Method
- Peel bananas and soak them in water. Mix 1 tsp turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, salt, rice flour and half the curry leaves with 1 tbsp oil in a plate.
- Slice raw bananas lengthwise into thick pieces. Mix them with ½ tsp turmeric powder and 2 cups water and cook in microwave for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from the microwave, drain and set aside to cool. Apply the paste on banana slices evenly on both the sides.
- Heat oil in a non stick pan, slide in the marinated banana slices and shallow fry.
- Turn over and fry for some more minutes or till crisp. Add remaining curry leaves and fry for 1 minute. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
