You are hungry? Poach an egg and have it topped with stir fried veggies – perfect protein source for the body! Check the freshness – keep a raw egg in a bowl of water. Fresh eggs will stay at the bottom while stale eggs stand on end or float.

Ingredients for Sadak Chaap Egg Fried Rice Recipe

  • Eggs 4

  • Basmati rice , cooked 3 cups

  • Rice bran oil 4 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Ginger , finely chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic , finely chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Green chillies , finely chopped 1-2

  • Soy sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli sauced 2 tablespoons

  • Vinegar 1 teaspoon

  • Green gram sprouts 1/4 cup

  • Mixed bean sprouts 1/4 cup

  • Spring onion green stalks , chopped 3 + to garnish

  • Masala peanuts 2 tablespoons

  • Fried noodles 2 tablespoons

  • Sev to garnish


Step 1

Heat 2 tbsps rice bran oil in a non-stick pan.

Step 2

Break eggs in a bowl, beat well and add to the pan. Mix and cook, stirring continuously, till fully done. Add salt, mix and transfer in a bowl.

Step 3

Heat remaining rice bran oil in another non-stick pan. Add ginger, garlic and green chillies, mix and sauté till fragrant.

Step 4

Add Basmati rice, soy sauce, red chilli sauce, vinegar and salt and mix well.

Step 5

Add green gram sprouts, mixed bean sprouts and spring onions and mix well. Add cooked egg, masala peanuts and fried noodles and mix well.

Step 6

Garnish with spring onions and sev and serve hot.
