Ingredients list for Salmon in Coconut Sauce
- 1 Thick salmon steak
 - 1 cup Thick coconut milk
 - 4 tablespoons Oil
 - 1 Medium onion chopped
 - to taste Salt
 - a pinch Garam masala powder
 - 3 tablespoons Lemon juice
 - 1 Large tomato chopped
 - 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
 - 1/4 teaspo to sprinkle Paprika powder
 - 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
 - 1/4 teaspoon Crushed fresh green chillies
 - 2 tablespoons Potato boiled, peeled and mashed
 - 2 tablespoons Spring onion greens chopped
 
Method
- Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a non-stick pan, add onions and saute.
 - Keep the salmon steak on a plate and sprinkle salt and garam masala powder and pour lemon juice.
 - When the onion is lightly coloured add tomato, mix and saute for 2 minutes.
 - Add red chilli powder, paprika powder and turmeric powder, mix and saute for 2 minutes.
 - Add crushed green chillies and thick coconut milk and mix. Add mashed potatoes and mix well and saute for 2 minutes.
 - Add salt and mix well. Take the pan off the heat.
 - Heat the remaining oil in another pan, add the salmon steak, skin side down, cover with the pan with the sauce and cook.
 - Add spring onion greens to the sauce and mix.
 - When the underside of the salmon steak is done, gently flip it over and cook the other side.
 - Spread some of the sauce in a serving plate, place the salmon steak over the sauce, sprinkle some paprika powder all around and serve hot.
