Ingredients
- 500 grams tomatoes
- 10-12 garlic cloves, chopped
- 3-4 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 300 grams sev
Method
- Wash and cut tomatoes into cubes. Peel and chop garlic. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds. When they crackle add chopped garlic. Sauté till light brown in color.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder dissolved in little water. Stir for half a minute and add tomatoes. Cook for another five to ten minutes.
- Add salt, sugar and one and a half cups of water. Simmer for five minutes. Once it comes to boil, add sev and serve hot immediately.
