Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Sev and Garlic Sandwich Recipe

  • White Bread Slices 8

  • Fine Sev as required

  • Garlic cloves 20-25

  • Oil 2 tbsps + for greasing

  • Pickled jalapenos 10 slices

  • Yogurt 3 small piece

  • Salt to taste


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic cloves and saute till golden.

Step 2

Put them in a chopper jar. Add jalapeno slices, yogurt and salt and process.

Step 3

Apply this mixture over 4 bread slices. Spread sev generously over them and cover with the remaining 4 bread slices and press lightly.

Step 4

Lightly grease a sandwich toaster with a little oil. Place the sandwiches, one by one, and cook over medium heat, turning sides, till both sides are evenly golden.

Step 5

Cut into 2 triangles and serve immediately.
