Suji Phirni

Semolina is mixed with milk, sugar and cooked till perfection. Garnish it with cardamom, saffron and almonds to make a delicious kheer. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Suji Phirni

  • 1 cup Semolina
  • 2-3 strands saffron
  • 10-12 Almonds
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. Soak the saffron in a little warm water. Keep aside. Blanch almonds and chop finely. Keep aside. Heat ghee in a frying pan and roast semolina till golden brown. Add milk, sugar and green cardamom powder and stir constantly till it thickens. Add saffron and let cool. Garnish with chopped almonds and serve cold.
